About
Katherine East Child Care Centre Inc.
Katherine East Child Care Centre has been operating within the Katherine community for the past 20 years. We are a community based, not-for-profit organisation, who receives funding from Commonwealth and NT Governments.
Katherine East Child Care centre caters for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
We are open from 7.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
At Katherine East Child Care Centre, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing, stimulating and welcoming environment for all children. Our unique programs incorporate a variety of educational theories, while always keeping the child’s best interest in mind and allowing for hands-on, experiential learning.

KECCC recognises the importance of the holistic development of children as individuals and as life-long learners. KECCC therefore seeks to nurture all areas of development of every child in our care. Children at KECCC are encouraged to realise their potential through play based learning, social interactions, daily living experiences and natural environments so that they can become successful learners, confident and creative individuals and active and informed citizens.
KECCC embraces best practice and is committed to ongoing improvement in care, management and governance.
KECCC values skilled, knowledgeable childcare professionals, supports ongoing professional development and fosters sound workplace practices.
Families are active partners in the journey of growth and development while their children are in our care. Positive and caring interaction is cultivated between families and staff. Families and the wider community are welcome in our centre and encouraged to be involved at a variety of levels.
